These tips can also be used for the delivery of medicaments into the periodonal pocket. > Fits onto either luer lock or luer slip syringes Calmix is a refined and improved calcium hydroxide medicament paste, suitable for root canal and vital pulp therapy. Calmix provides a better dissolution of calcium hydroxide. In any water-based material (liquid or paste), there are limitations to the dissolution of calcium hydroxide power, due to the common ion effect from OH ions already present in water. As Calmix is water-free, it possesses greater solubility, avoiding the common ion effect, producing greater release and allows higher pH values to be achieved.
